Compared with the tendency of 1988 and 1989, cancer-related pain decreased, whereas peripheral vascular disorders increased ; sympathetic ganglion blocks were frequently performed to resolve ischemic lesions of peripheral vascular disorders. Another topic in 1990 was the increase of numbers of neural blocks under fluoroscopy for musculo-skeletal painful diseases, such as spondylosis, disc herniation, facet syndrome and others. Peridurography, selective radicular block, intervertebral discography, facet block and radiofrequency thermocoagulation were employed for these diseases diagnostically and therapeutically.
