To this end, specialists in this field must have broad and cross-sectional knowledge of the basics of science and engineering, they must understand and master rapidly evolving state-of-the-art technology, and they need to have the knowledge and skills to think and act comprehensively from a broad perspective. The Chubu region, centered around Aichi Prefecture, is a major base for the aerospace industry and is expected to continue to grow significantly in the future.
